Stage Six: completed Stage

In this stage i added a standard barcode, price, a web address and a price. These are all position together in a conventional way in the bottom right corner.

Task Five: Coverlines

I then added the other coverlines to the page and the graphics in order for them to stand out. I used shadows and graphics in order for the text to stand out and be readable from the main image.

Stage Four: Main Coverline

I then added the Maincoverline, which sticks to the black, white and yellow colour scheme I have decided to have the band name in a larger font size and a different colour. This is in order for the band name to be dominant and also attract peoples attention by making it look more attractive and exciting.

Stage Three: Masthead and Main Image integration

In this stage I integrated my masthead to the main image. As you can see the mackground to the original image is the background for the magazine cover, the midground is the masthead and the fore ground is the models. I have done this in order for the models to stand out of the magazine cover.

Stage Two: masthead

I then added the selling line but without the stroke which makes the selling line still very visable but means the title is still more dominant. This is the completed masthead for my magazine cover.

The text is black and white to make it stand out from the background, it also has a bevel effect to make it look as though it is sticking out from thebackground making it look more dominant. The font is curvey and smooth representing laid back genre of music.

Stage Two: masthead

I then added the title of my magazine in harabara font, I also added a black stroke effect, with outer bevel. I added the text like this to make it stand out, I have done this so the title stands out and becomes recognisable.

Stage Two: masthead

First of all i created a background for my masthead to make it stand out from the main image. The background has a subtle satin look so it doesn't just look like a block of colour instead adds a bit of depth to the masthead.

My Fonts

These are all the fonts I could use in my magazine.

Stage One: Main Image

I cut the models from the image, in order to allow me to have an integrated masthead to add depth to the magazine.

I also kept a section of the background from the image to keep behind the layer with the models and the masthead.

Stage One: Main Image

This is the original image which I am using for the main image of my magazine cover.
